Before & Aftercare

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT:

To ensure the best results and a smooth procedure, please follow these guidelines and restrictions before your treatment:

1. Retinol\/Retin-A: Discontinue the use of any Retinol or Retin-A products at least 7 days before your procedure. These products can affect the healing process and may impact the outcome of your treatment.

2. Injections: If you have recently had any Botox, fillers, or other injectables, it is important to schedule your treatment at least 2-3 weeks before or after these procedures. This time frame allows for proper healing and minimizes any potential complications.

3. Chemical Peels and Laser Treatments: Avoid scheduling your treatment within 4-6 weeks before or after chemical peels or laser treatments. These procedures can cause skin irritation and sensitivity, which can interfere with the healing process and color retention.

4. Sun Exposure: It is crucial to avoid sunburned or suntanned skin before your procedure. Sun-damaged skin can lead to excessive bleeding and poor color retention. Refrain from exposing the treatment area to the sun for 2-3 weeks prior to your appointment and for 3-4 weeks after the procedure. Remember to use SPF 30-50 to protect your skin during this time.

5. Foreign Travel: If you have plans for a holiday abroad, please avoid scheduling any procedures within one week of your trip. High sun exposure countries can adversely affect the healing process, and exposure to water may increase the risk of infection.

6. Alcohol and Caffeine: Minimize the consumption of alcohol and caffeine 1-2 days before your procedure. These substances can contribute to increased oozing, bleeding, or swelling during the treatment.

7. Medication: Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, Nurofen, ketanol, or any other blood-thinning medication 1-2 days before your procedure, unless advised otherwise by your physician. Consult with your healthcare provider before stopping any prescribed medications or medical treatments.

It’s important to follow these guidelines before your procedure:

– Refrain from threading, tweezing, and waxing your brows for 2-3 weeks prior to the appointment to allow for optimal flexibility in achieving the best results.

– Avoid regular henna tint for 2-3 weeks before the procedure.

– Steer clear of powder brows henna coloring for 4-6 weeks leading up to the procedure.

– Avoid brow lamination for 4-6 weeks before the procedure.

– If you have a specific shape and color in mind, feel free to bring reference photos from our social media galleries to your appointment. You can also fill in your eyebrows as you normally would to give us an idea of the desired shape and color.

-Please note that we will remove your foundation and concealer before the procedure to accurately determine your undertones. This step is crucial for us to select the appropriate color that will best suit you.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT:

During the first week after your treatment, it is important to follow these aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal results:

1. Cleansing: Use a cotton pad slightly soaked in boiled water for the first 24h after the treatment. Be careful not to stretch the skin while doing this. This will help remove excess lymph and prevent the formation of scabs. After cleansing, ensure the skin is dry.

2. Days 2-6: For the next 6 days, there is no need to clean your eyebrows as the lymph will no longer be coming out. Avoid getting them wet while washing your face or showering.

3. Dry Skin: If you have dry skin, apply a very thin layer of cream with panthenol once a day.

4. Normal Skin: If you have normal skin, apply a very thin layer of cream with panthenol after 6 days, once the eyebrows start itching and peeling off.

5. Oily Skin: If you have oily skin, there is no need to apply any additional cream.

In the first 7 days, avoid the following:

– Applying any creams or makeup to the eyebrow area, except for the protective ones provided by your specialist.

– Engaging in exercises or activities that cause excessive sweating, such as sauna, swimming, or vigorous workouts.

– Under no circumstances should you pick at any scabs. Allow them to naturally fall off.

– Once the scabs have fallen off, you may notice that the pigment color will almost disappear. This is normal and the color will gradually reappear over the first 2-3 weeks. Your brows may appear up to 50% lighter during this time.

In the first 30 days, avoid the following:

– Sun tanning, using sun beds, or exposing the treated area to direct sunlight without protection.

– Undergoing light (laser) therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, or using creams that contain regeneration factors.

– Avoid laser treatments over the treated area, such as Fraxel laser or IPL, as they can destroy the pigment and cause inflammation.

– Faster fading of the pigment can occur if antibiotics or hormonal therapy are used.

– Always protect your eyebrows from the sun by using sun protection cream with a minimum of SPF 30. However, do not apply sun cream during the first 7 days.

Following these aftercare instructions diligently will help ensure the best healing process and long-lasting results. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to your specialist for guidance.
